first, create your cvs extracare account

ask a cvs employee to sign you up or sign up online.
only one cvs extracare card is allowed per person according to the current official cvs coupon policy.

    extrabucks can be earned through advertised promotions, 2% back on most purchases, and rewards at the pharmacy. promotions are advertised in the weekly ad, on cvs.com, in the cvs app, or on shelf tags. depending on your receipt preferences, extrabucks may print on your receipt, be available digitally in your extracare account, or both.
  • the required amount to receive the extrabucks is always calculated before coupons.

  • you do not have to buy all the required products in the same transaction or at the same store. for offers that allow multiple transactions, your progress can be viewed in your extracare account and may also appear on your receipt.
  • extrabucks can be redeemed on most purchases, excluding alcohol, at-home COVID-19 tests, gift cards, lottery tickets, milk, money orders, postage stamps, prepaid cards, prescriptions, ephedrine/pseudoephedrine (where required by law), taxes, other fees, deposits and local exclusions.

  • extrabucks expire on the date printed or displayed with the reward. in most cases, this is about 4 weeks from the date they are printed or sent to your card.
  • you cannot get change back when you spend your eb's. however, they can be accepted for less than their face value. for example, your total (before tax) comes to $1.97 and you have $1.99 in extrabucks - if you don't mind losing the 2 cents you may choose to redeem it. the extrabucks value will adjust to the balance due before tax.

  • cvs accepts manufacturer's coupons, including printable coupons.

  • cvs store coupons are available in your extracare account, the cvs pharmacy app, in cvs emails, or may print at the extracare coupon center or on your receipt. (these are commonly called crt coupons, which originally stood for "cash register tape.")

    review your communication preferences to make sure you are subscribed to email communications.

  • extrabucks and crt coupons are linked to your extracare account, which means you can only redeem them on the account that earned them.

  • you can generally combine one manufacturer coupon with cvs store coupons on the same qualifying item, subject to each coupon's terms. extrabucks are rewards rather than coupons, so they do not count toward these coupon limits.
