I had that happen on one of my clearance items today but the others I used worked just fine. Not sure why the hot/cold sleeve only took one.

CVS sleep $3.99 less 2 - $2 crts
CVS hot/cold $5.38 less $1 CRT. The other $1 would not come off.There were many more cvs hot or cold packs on clearance and also lots of different Hanes underwear men/women, leggings and compression stockings.
