Starting 3/20/09 cvs will begin mailing out new extracare cards to 5 million cardholders who have had the same card for the past 5 years. The card number will not change, just the design. more importantly, included with the new card will be $2 EB, and $3 off $15, $4 off $20, and $10 off $50 coupons! (linked to the card, of course)
After this rollout stores will get the newly designed cards.
update 03/24: i've heard that 2 people have gotten their new cards and $2 eb, but no coupons. i think this initial report may have been wrong about those coupons, unless they are only going out with some of the new cards.
